After 38 years in the corporate world, I decided to turn my attention and skills to developing an investment algorithm
which could beat the S&P over a long period of time. The number of failed attempts could rival even Thomas Edison.

In the book “The Man Who Solved The Market: How Jim Simons Launched The Quant Revolution”, Gregory Zuckerman documents Simons investment model results which were around 66% over a 32 year period. My low bar is the market average which is about 9% and the high bar is Mr. Simons results of 66%. Today, our model is at 48.84% annual average ROI which certainly gives us some room for improvement.
I believe it’s important to state that there is no guarantee of success, and the model does introduce a lot of risk. Of course, making a new path to follow may be risky but it can also be rewarding. This website and algorithm are a journey for me, and I have no idea where this we lead. Some of the things I try to do is study, research, and read everything I can when it come to building an investment model. I hope I never criticize others that are on a similar path since we can all learn from each other. Ready to get started?
